2025-06-18 09:48:43 +0200 <tomsmeding> and I love HLS for its new multi-module functionality so I'm not complaining!
2025-06-18 09:48:26 +0200 <tomsmeding> (the answer to my question thus was "HLS doesn't need :m")

2025-06-18 09:43:35 +0200 <geekosaur> I think multi-mode was rushed out early with just enough functionality to make HLS happy, and is being fleshed out in subsequent versions
2025-06-18 09:41:20 +0200 <geekosaur> things should be better in 9.12 and even better yet in upcoming 9.14

2025-06-18 09:36:28 +0200 <tomsmeding> do people usefully use multi-repl? Or are things just a lot better on 9.12 and am I on old stuff?

2025-06-18 09:35:59 +0200 <tomsmeding> I just tried out --enable-multi-mode for the first time on ghci for multi-repl, on GHC 9.10; turns out it doesn't yet support `:m`. I know multi-repl is still WIP and I'm fine with that, but I wonder: if `:m` doesn't work, what's even the point of having multi-repl?
