2021-03-20 04:08:34 +0000 <heck-to-the-gnom> ?tell Guest14 (IRC) You don't exactly have to follow the philosophy, but it's easiest, I for one, use a lot more floating windows than one usually would. That's mostly because I have molds that I can confine any window to with a simple chord, as well as "scratchpads" - similar to the idea of drop-down terminals in other environments, but expanded further.

2021-03-20 10:48:29 +0000 <Solid> oh, btw, I changed the "good-first-bug" label to "good first issue"
2021-03-20 10:48:47 +0000 <Solid> seems like this would make more sense most of the time
2021-03-20 10:49:09 +0000 <Solid> and this way we don't lose history and searchability (as opposed to a new label)
2021-03-20 10:53:00 +0000 <Liskni_si> okay, did the same thing on xmonad repo

2021-03-20 11:03:39 +0000 <mc47> I think there are tools that help new contributors find issues to work on, and they specifically search for "good first issue"

2021-03-20 16:37:43 +0000 <Solid> mc47: what do you think of this image size for the wiki: https://github.com/xmonad/xmonad/wiki/Layout-modifiers
2021-03-20 16:37:57 +0000 <Solid> I think it's big enough to see what's happening while not being too small
2021-03-20 16:38:10 +0000 <Solid> (and trying to standardize this early on sounds like a good idea)
2021-03-20 16:39:00 +0000 <geekosaur> seems okay to me. I'd kinda like it if clicking on an image went to a larger version, but that might be harder to accomplish/store
2021-03-20 16:40:09 +0000 <Solid> you can right click -> view image
2021-03-20 16:40:30 +0000 <Solid> maybe there's a way to make just clicking work as well

2021-03-20 16:41:08 +0000 <mc47> Especially if we want to add them to hackage, it won't mess anything up
2021-03-20 16:41:44 +0000 <Solid> I think hackage will still show the full-scale image
2021-03-20 16:42:15 +0000 <mc47> the full-scale image you posted is also suitable for hackage I think
