| 2026-03-19 14:51:09 +0100 | <haskellbridge> | <Icy-Thought> reading the history here, river v0.4 seems like a very interesting approach to the upcoming WayMonad(? or whatever new name we decide for this awesome thing) |

| 2026-03-19 15:28:02 +0100 | <haskellbridge> | <Solid> if this slop PoC is anything to go by, this would probably actually work |
| 2026-03-19 15:28:25 +0100 | <haskellbridge> | <Solid> at least restarting the wm without bringing down the whole wayland session works quite nicely |

| 2026-03-19 18:31:32 +0100 | <haskellbridge> | <Solid> as I said, this was just a PoC to see if what we want to do is even possible. Still, I think this is good news. tokei reports a total of 4223 lines (2404 code, 1267 comments, 552 blanks) for "wayland-client", "wayland-scanner", and "wmonad". Given that this is slop, we can probably reduce this by a fair amount even, and for a minimal working example this seems pretty good, tbh |
