2021-06-28 06:48:13 +0200 <By_JumperX4[m]> is there any way in xmonad to avoid swapping 2 workspaces of screen ? I have 4 screens and when I do mod+4 it will put current workspace to screen 4 and put screen 4's workspace where i'm currently. I'd like to to act more like on i3 and "teleport" my mouse to screen 4 instead
2021-06-28 06:57:59 +0200 <liskin> By_JumperX4[m]: use view instead of greedyView
2021-06-28 06:58:38 +0200 <By_JumperX4[m]> i'm not sure to understand
2021-06-28 07:08:27 +0200 <By_JumperX4[m]> okay I found some doc on that, thanks

2021-06-28 11:45:41 +0200 <fizzie> By_JumperX4[m]: `view` will just switch focus, though; if you do want to also move the pointer, XMonad.Actions.Warp's `warpToScreen` may come in handy. Might take a little work to make it happen only when the workspace was visible; e.g., grabbing the definition of `view` and replacing the branch where it's just made current.
2021-06-28 11:45:46 +0200 <fizzie> I use https://0x0.st/-pwa.txt for my screen-switching keys (mod-w/e), so that I can press once to just move focus, or twice to also bring the pointer along. Not that I do the latter much.

2021-06-28 18:53:23 +0200 <Guest91> Hi. I have the following problem: After installing Brave, when I want to download a file or select a file, the browser chrashes. This also happens with librewolf. I use Arch, and of course, in other full desktops there must be any kind of standard that allows the browsers to integrate with UI file managers to allow file selection. In my case I
2021-06-28 18:53:23 +0200 <Guest91> have a pretty minimal system so my question is, how can I integrate a graphical file manager with the browser using XMONAD.

2021-06-28 23:38:20 +0200 <burp> with firefox or so it's no problem?
2021-06-28 23:38:43 +0200 <burp> maybe run the browser in a terminal to see the actual error message
2021-06-28 23:42:48 +0200 <geekosaur> I would first ask if you have EwmhDesktops enabled, most browsers behave oddly without it
2021-06-28 23:43:02 +0200 <geekosaur> if they work at all
2021-06-28 23:46:33 +0200 <geekosaur> in particular if displaying a dialog crashes I'd wonder if it's blindly assumng existence of the EWMH window type properties, like the last app crash we dealt with recently assumed existence of _NET_WM_STATE
2021-06-28 23:50:56 +0200 <dminuoso> geekosaur: Mmm, I experienced no major issues without ewmh and browsers for years.
2021-06-28 23:51:23 +0200 <dminuoso> Or even, no issues I could relate to the window manager.
